We are trying to bring back a bit of the personal service from years past.

  • We take a minimum deposit of $49 (Includes taxes) on all consumer equipment.
  • We take a minimum $100 deposit on all industrial/commercial equipment.
  • Deposits vary depending on the scope of the repair and the age of the device.
  • Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. Deposits cover our troubleshooting costs if the repair is declined.
  • Better quality parts are used for repair, typically exceeding the manufacturer's specifications.
  • Repairs are performed on a "first come, first served" basis. Rush service is available at $85 over the repair cost, prepaid.
  • Rush service puts you at the top of the queue, we drop everything else to troubleshoot your device, order parts, and perform repairs for which we have parts on hand. Completion time depends on part shipping times. You may prepay for rush shipping if you require it. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the repair process, we are unable to guarantee completion times.
  • BenchMagic may refuse rush service due to time requirements and current work load. 
  • Very small repairs can often be done while-while-you-wait, at the discretion of the senior tech, if time is available. Please call ahead and describe the small job so we can determine if time is available. Unfortunately we are not often able to perform while-you-wait repairs without advance notice.
  • We always strive to perform the highest quality repair possible within the budget & time constraints.
  • Completed work left at BenchMagic will accrue storage charges at 1% per month. Due to space limitations, equipment left at the shop will be sold or disposed of 6 months after notification that the work has been completed.
  • Unfortunately we do not curently service TVs, cell phones, tablets, laptops, computers, or most modern video game consoles; these devices are not normally cost effective to repair.
  • Not all equipment is reasonable to repair. Not all parts are available. Module replacement can often be a reasonable alternative to troubleshooting where board-level repair is impractical or impossible. Module prices and availability vary for each device.
  • BenchMagic reserves the right to refuse repair on some equipment due to low value, age, unreasonable expectations, or unrealistic time requirements as determined by the senior tech.
  • Our service is warranted for 6 months. Refused work is not covered by our warranty. Repairs to circuits we did not repair constitutes a new repair.
  • We reserve the right to refuse warranty coverage on physical damage, liquid damage, abuse, or other factors beyond our control.
  • We strive to fix ALL issues with a repair. If a hidden or unreported issue is missed, we reserve the right to repair any missed issues as a new repair, though the deposit may be waived.
